Avoid at all costs. Horrible customer care. We have been with them for 8 years since they were Canadian Direct Insurance, ever since they switched to Bel Air Direct it has been nothing but issues. Insurance quotes went through the roof claiming it was ICBC we shopped around and prices are way lower then they are. No accidents or any claims on our records. I ask to speak to a manager and no calls back at all.We are now going to take our 3 vehicles and home insurance else where. No appreciation for a customer of 8 years. If I could give 0 Stars I would
Stay far away! Been a customer for just over 6 years and two weeks before Christmas 2016 Canadian direct decided to send a letter saying our insurance would be canceled for not sending them pictures of our rental home. Funny thing is they sent the letter asking us for pictures in January while we didn't take possession until February. Once we provided the pictures they reinstated our insurance only to send another letter a couple weeks later asking us to repair water damage they saw on the pictures. Catch is, there was absolutely no water damage. Had to hire a contractor to come and write a letter saying there was no water damage at our expense. No where near the cheapest and if something happens they are a nightmare to deal with. Do not use this company unless its literally your only choice. Even then I would consider going uninsured.
This is probably the ONLY Insurance company who pronounce guilty driver who is rear ended. I was the loyal customer to CDI for the last 7 years when my accident occur, I was rear ended and YES I was pronounce guilty (100 % at fault) my balance is 0 demerit, no ticket what so ever, no any kind of accident.....and this is how I was rewarded. Thanks to Rachelle Villanueva - Claims Adjuster NO MORE CANADIAN DIRECT INSURANCE
Well this has thrown me for a loop; I have been a loyal customer for five years and no issues; recently I called to renew my policies for my two vehicles and paid by visa over the phone; I was told everything was good. A week later I received a call from the accounts department saying my payments did not go through; I asked what the visa number was they put through and it was not even my visa number; I was on the phone for a long period of time and then gave them my visa number again...this time it appeared that it went through without issue. A couple of days later I received six letters for my insurance for one of my vehicles which all had different dollar amounts; then I received a registered letter "NOTICE OF PENDING CANCELLATION"; all this considered and then I found out I was being overcharged on this vehicle as they were charging me for a higher end vehicle that I did not even own; I was told that a refund would be put on my visa. I am very disappointed with the service; what ever happened to the days when customer service was a priority?
I wrote off a 2006 Tundra truck worth about 23,000. Within a week I had 22,500 sitting in my bank account. No muss. No fuss. I would not deal with anyone else.To the person who said he did not have windscreen chip insurance, you do know that you have to pay for it, don't you?
