Went into emergency on Canada Day. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was there between 2 and 6am and had a very uncomfortable wait as I was in pain and was throwing up. One of the nurses gave me a warm blanket while I tried to sleep, and once I was in to see the doctor they let me stay in the bed until it was needed instead of moving me to another waiting chair. Really appreciated the help they gave me. (The bathroom was disgusting with no TP or paper towel. Otherwise I would say 5 star)

Nobody knows where anything is (thankfully, there's a help-line on the wall). Nurses there have a habit of sticking the needle in the wrong place, and having to try again (or worse, not noticing that they've stuck it in an artery instead of a vein). Different hospital units don't communicate with each other particularly well, leading to a lot of delays. Some of the staff members were friendly and helpful, others were not.
Amazingly good and compassionate care. Very efficient staff, knowledgeable physicians We could not have been better care for in an emergency situation that resulted in a four day stay. You never want to return to a hospital but if needed in Vancouver this is where wed go again.
The worse health care in the country can be experienced at this bed bug ridden flea bag of a building. Signs warning patients hat abusive language and behaviour can result in patients being removed. Patients on the other hand have no real legal recourse. Patient advocate at the hospital is a government employee and has the governments issues forefront. CEO is about as knowledgeable about health care as Donald Trump is about honesty. Avoid this hospital at all costs. .
