there was an elder, mentally challenged guy harassing people in the branch.
I'm reviewing this to counter some of the negative comments I read about this branch of the Vancouver Public Library. I've been using this library for over 3 years. I've never had a negative experience, not one, and I visit the library approximately once a month. It's clean and well maintained. It's a small branch so there are not a lot of books on the shelves, but with the magic of the reserve system, any book you want will be delivered to the branch and held for you there, usually within a week of booking it on the vpl website. I would enjoy more books at the branch, but I appreciate that they are balancing the needs of the users and the demands on the space. This building is not a study area, it's not going to offer quiet, or a place to plug in your laptop. That's not the facility's purpose, nor should it be. It's a single floor that houses books, a children's area, a computer lab, cd's, videos, video games, and more.
A great family environment.
This is an awesome library. They have a large selection and lots of space to read. Everyone is friendly!
Nice staff. Decent kids area, though in comparison I like how Britannia's kids area, being further from the quiet/study areas, makes you feel like less of a nuisance when your kid makes noise. Small but big enough to browse the collection.
