A staple in the West End, they've been around for quite a while. The pizzas are delicious as are the pastas. I had the baked Penne with meat sauce and my friend had the baked spaghetti. Both were delicious but too hot to eat when served. Had to wait until they cooled down a bit. The service was good and the price quite reasonable.
This Greek restaurant is located at Denman and Nelson in downtown. It is still in the popular area that attracts tourists or local people to come in and enjoy the Greek food. We came here for lunch as we saw an a-board outside the restaurant that listed $12.45 for lunch specials. Their lunch menu had a wide variety of items and most of the dishes were at a great price. We ordered two dishes from the lunch menu - roast lamb and moussaka. What a great deal! The portion was quite big and the quality was good! Even the pita bread was very fresh baked from the oven. The roast lamb was very tender and tasty. Moussaka was quite big with a lot of beef in the middle. Very delicious! The server there was very friendly and polite. We ordered two cups of hot water with lemon. When she delivered the hot water to our table, she mentioned that the water was boiling hot from the pot, so she asked us to be careful when we drank it. She was very caring about customers.Interior design was a bit old inside the restaurant but the style and ambience along with the Greek music made it more authentic. We love this restaurant and would like to come back and try other dishes.
This little restaurant is the pillar of the West End. The food is authentic and hearty as are the entire staff. My go to when family comes to visit and after long trail runs in the mountains.Love this place!!!
I had a lot of plates here.It's actually been a long time since I had pizza in Vancouver.All of plates' taste that we can imagine was good (not bad)Rice was a little bit sour, but meat was really delectable.
We were there during the fireworks and it was super busy but we were seating quickly but despite that we had to wait 20 minutes just for the waiter to take our order! And then another 40+ min for the food. Additionally there were only 2 servers who were both fairly rude. We understand when it is busy they are under stress but that's no way to deal with customers. We were seating by the front door and saw everyone who waited in line to be seated and for the most part they stood there waiting without anyone coming to talk to them. Overall, customer service was bad and food seemed good, maybe because we were all hungry waitingfor over an hour.
