I have complained about couple issues such us no ventilation system for my new roof, wires hanging on the side. Rogers is a great guy , his team came back several times to satisfied my requirement, they have done a lot extra staff to ensure my roof can be insured. Thank you for the office, accounting department and Rogers. However, they are couple things to remained other customers, my roof is a torch on roof, they subcontract to other company to do the actual work without notice me, the contract didn't mention no subcontract. The work they have done is fine, and Rogers came 1 or 2 times to check the roof, but I did pay extra money under "absolute" company title. So if you do care about subcontract, make sure they mentioned in the contract. Second, they haven't done cut test before quoting me, the estimator, Justin quoted everything based on plywood, but my roof is ship-lap, then he forced me to pay 3k more to put Asphaltic Board done on the top of the ship-lap, the price is not negotiable. There were two options for me at that time:1.Cancel the contract, and lose more than 1k deposit 2.Accept the price. Even the contract said 200 cancellation fee, but he said they have came and fixed the water leak before replacing the roof, they cannot just charge 200. I felt it make sense, but if you are professional enough, you will do a test cut before sending me the quote, they you won't put me into this situation. I wasn't happy for their price, I emailed the owner, never heard back from him. The roof problems are all get solved, thanks to Rogers.Just give you an idea about the price: 14k+3200(Asphaltic Board)+250 rod replacement before tax for a 33*119 land size, 2700 living area (1300 for the second floor), flat roof with almost no slope, Vancouver style house, torch-on roof.In brief, I am happy with my roof now, but not for my experience, especially about this price. Hope this can help you prepare better before signing the contract.Plus, I finially recived a phone call back from the owner 3 months after the roof is done. I did email with the maketing manger rebacca for couple times to try to reach the owner. The phone call is useless, he said everything is reasonable without reading any information, he doesnt even know we are talking about a flat roof. He said that is how construction works in this city, you have to live with it. It makes this experience even worse. I was expected this phone call for so long, and nothing can get sovled. I summerized that it is in vancouver, no matter if you choose us or not, there are someone else will. This is their attitude to run business. Good luckThanks for Rebecca and Rogers; you guys tried the best to help me.Please see their facebook page for detail of my response, they do good marketing but nothing they can help, instead they try to find excuses or giving furture promises. I know what happens to me, I dont need an explanation, I am not going to waste my time to lie on this comment. I only state the fact, and comment on the thing that I experienced. Thanks to telling me a new story.
This morning I used the web feature for a call back (contact me). I got a call from Jacky..I think I got the name right. She didn't sound very eager to get my business. Anyway the script is that I pay 185 for someone to come to my house. The issue is a leaking Skylight. I said if I give you the work do I get the 185 deducted from the bill (I am sure contracts have a way to get this back). In the interest of transparency they disclose this. That is a good practice agree!!. However she asks me to call around...good advise?? My situation seem urgent but the only appt. should might be able to fit in is 2 weeks from now. Anyway long story short I call another company (hint radio ad they do solar too). They are sending someone today FREE no upfront charge. I thought feedback is always good along with the 5 star. Although it wasn't a 5 star outcome!!...you be the judge.
Absolute Roofing Solutions is one of the best guys for doing roofing works and their workers are professional and does Excellent work. We recommend them for any future work and projects.
We had our roof done in Fall 2016. The salesman was nice enough, but the roofers put a big black flashing across our siding that looked awful (see pics). We called the salesman and he agreed that it was a mistake and it would be fixed. Then nothing happened for a long while. It took about 6 months of phone calls and waiting for them to see the problem from our perspective. Ultimately they fixed the problem at no cost to us (see pics). The owner eventually called and apologized for the communication problems. I am not sure we would use them again, but they do care about their reputation and are accountable for their work.
Guys were quick and efficient and friendly. No leaks since!
