The club is beautiful, the classes are great and all the instructors are amazing. I used to like going to equinox a lot. My only one complaint here is a lack of communication between managers and customers or between managers and reception. I froze my account for the summer and tried to cancel after 2 months of being frozen. It looks like in this club you have to take on the role of being a manager yourself because their staff is unwilling to help their customers. Basically, I had to triple check if my requests were really passed on to the right person. I have no problem doing that until I got charged for a month of membership after I was told my membership was successfully cancelled. I requested a refund for the month that I didn't step foot in the gym ( because I was told that my membership was cancelled) . I wish the manager who was in charge of cancelling my membership would have explained their policies on cancellations to me in her last email. Something like "If you cancel from a frozen account you will be charged $95 feel free to use the gym amenities in August because to close out your account we have to reactivate it. You have one last month to use the gym between the reactivation and the cancellation... and by the way, this is my last email to you because I do not work there anymore". This is not a complaint about that manager, it is a general complaint about the customer service and how poorly their staff handles issues like this. Overall, this is not the type of service I would expect for $200 a month... Disappointed.

Definitely not worth the money. Needs a good cleaning and the $50 drop in fee eludes to something better than the YMCA which it definitely isn't. Trying to super set a workout is impossible. Trying to walk through the crowd is tough enough. Avoid! Staff don't know what to do. Seems like they must have a class that's popular but even those people don't seem happy here because there's been 5 complaints in 10 minutes.

Poor service! The staff seems so nice before you enroll for the club and after that they dont know u anymore! Its super busy around 4-7pm and theres kine up for classes Shower and hot steam its so dirty and the towles sometimes have stain on itOveral for $200 per month its not worth itAlso be aware of monthly charges sometimes they charge twice! The manager is Gen and its hard to find her and she doesnt reply to emails!

Come for the eucalyptus towels - stay to work out with Michael Goodfellow! Ask for the one who looks like a He-Man action figure and who will help push you further than you can yourself. Michael is entirely focused on you during your sessions and checks up throughout the week to ensure you're keeping up your side of the efforts. Yes, personal training is indeed expensive on top of membership itself but trying it was part of my personal motivator to make sure I was attending regularly and getting back into a routine. The gym itself is clean - they are on top of the locker room and the equipment is all as you would expect for a premium location.

People who claim Equinox is over priced simply don't know what they're talking about. This hands down beats any gym in Vancouver. It's more like a sports club than a gym. It's a dream for anyone that take working out seriously and want to feel pampered. At the same time, yes, Equinox is for people who have money to spend on fitness. Not everyone can afford it. Comparing it with the YMCA is absolute nonsense!
