I'd been wanting bangs for awhile, but had pretty bad experiences with other salons I'd gone to so never took the plunge. I called for a same day appointment and was promptly scheduled in with Kara who has 9 years experience. I felt comfortable going for it and absolutely love my new cut! Kara was super friendly and made me confident with the change. Highly recommend!
Ive had Veronica do a colour correction on another stylists work at another salon that was terrible and blotchy, she made my blonde all even again. Veronica is very friendly, time efficient and meticulous with her work. I love the atmosphere and the customer service at juju hair lounge, their hospitality is unparalleled with other notable hair salons. Quite frankly, the negative reviews on here are unjustifiable, the demands and complaints are unrealistic. They dont understand how hard it is to run a business. If you are late, it throws the schedule off for the technician and loss of time because time is money. We all are working professionals so we hold ourselves accountable to be somewhere on time. Also these stylists are people too, they are not magicians. You think doing hair is easy? Go home and do it yourself. Expertise levels vary per person, training and learning is costly and experience takes time. The nay sayers on here are so extremely rude, I dont blame the stylists for not wanting to work on a particular person. Juju hair lounge continues to offer great services to EVERYONE even unhappy customers to rectify their experience, so we should be appreciative of the fact that they are trying instead of not doing anything about it. They are there to serve and make sure your experience is delightful. People who are difficult and miserable puts a bitter taste in everyones mouth. Plus they offer kombucha on tap which is fabulous! Juju caught my eye on Instagram because of the FANTASTIC colour they do. Any mermaid or unicorn would be so pleased. Friendly knowledgeable staff who set me up with the kind of hair products that really made styling my hair so much better. I'm so going back.
I had a really awful experience with another stylist in Vancouver - she was completely negligent and over processed my bleach out, resulting in extensive damage to my hair. I was devastated! (There were giant chunks of broken hair sticking up and breakage everywhere!)Steve was able to cut and blend the damage into my style so that it was significantly less noticeable. He also then took care of my follow up bleach out and was extra careful not to further break my hair. He did such a great job and managed my anxiety through the whole thing!Leah was also a huge help; she recommended products to treat, repair and protect my hair as it recovered from the damage. These guys not only know how to fix other people's mistakes but give great colour consults to switch it up! I've continued to see Steve at JuJu and have transitioned to a warm balayage and now rose gold.
I went to the salon recently for my first dye experience, and I enjoyed my experience so much that I just had to write a review! Amanda worked wonders on my hair, and I absolutely love how it turned out. Every single person in the salon was super friendly and welcoming, and I can't think of any other salon I could enjoy 5 hours in!
