They saved my trip to Vancouver. Driving with a camper in Vancouver is something nightmares are made of lol. This RV site is the best. They took me with no reservation at like 11pm and the staff was amazing. There is Free HOT!!! showers, hot tub, swimming pool, playground, ice, coin laundromatt, I was in camping heaven. It was the perfect place to leave my trailer for the day and adventure around Vancouver. Then come home to a nice hot soak in the hot tub and a hot shower before settling into a quiet rest. I did not hear any trains it was glorious!
We love this place. It's super convenient for experiencing Vancouver. The sites are compact but big enough. Pool, Jacuzzi, and lounge room are pleasant, and there's a great playground for kids and wide lanes for them to ride bikes. Staff are all friendly. Don't see how it could be much better!
Awesome everything! I was wickedly surprised. The Lion Gate bridge is right next to the place but you hardly hear it or notice it. Staff are so friendly. Clean, so clean. Bathrooms are always clean. Great location. My favorite part was watching the natives fishing the river next to the property in their traditional way.
For an urban RV park this one was one of the best we've stayed at. It is not a paved parking lot, has a patch of grass and screening bushes between you and the camper behind you. Very compact spaces, but that is expected in an urban setting. Super convenient location at the north end of Lions Gate Bridge makes it easy to get to Vancouver. Walk across the bridge over the Capilano River at the entrance to the RV park and you can enter a huge shopping mall or walk around the corner and there are shops, green grocer and banking facilities. Continue on the very nice walk/bike trail past the mall along the river to Ambleside Park and on to Ambleside Village. The RV park is convenient to North and West Vancouver and a short drive to the Horseshoe Bay ferries. Very well run RV park.
The location and amenities here can't be beat if you want to be close to the city and have some nature around you (Capilano River & some greenery). It is very tight and if you're pulling a trailer, you will have a "switchback" turn pulling into/out of the drive on a fairly busy road, but the traffic was not too bad for us. The first spot we were given was too close for comfort and almost impossible to back into with the neighbors' awning out and picnic table on the other side, so we chose another spot (the manager had no problem with that). Getting back to that spot from the previous one was tricky though- almost jackknifed :/ (those spots were on a dead-end road facing the park fence & main road). But, we made it. A lot of the residents are residents! As in- they live there, so you may have potted plants and permanent fixtures to navigate between when backing in (all spaces are back-in), and they are narrow to begin with. If you're a novice RV owner/renter, you might need some ground-guiding to squeeze into your space. And your view is either highrises or trees- it is a border-of-downtown location, after all! But the people were friendly, place was very clean and well-maintained, pool & Jacuzzi were nice, and restroom/shower facilities are fairly close to all spots. There's even a small enclosed dog run with bags provided :) This is the fanciest office of an RV park I've ever seen! Not just a little shack or the owner's RV, but a permanent, well-designed building with office on one side, Jacuzzi/shower/pool area on the other. A AAA discount is offered, which will save you 10%, bringing the nightly rate to about $53 US for a 15amp full hookup spot. Not bad for the location, services & cleanliness of the park.
