The place is small but intimate. Highly recommend if youre wanting a nice romantic evening with great food, excellent wine and a casual vibe. The steak tartare is a must! Dont skip the dessert, we had their cheesecake with pears and it was delicious. Make sure to reserve ahead. We reserved a week in advance and still only managed to get a 5:30pm seating (the only other choice was 8:00pm) on a Wed night.
Fantastic service and atmosphere! Lots of attention to detail -- even the positioning of their custom plates was meticulous! I was slightly disappointed with the ratatouille (while it still tasted good, it just didn't quite have the punch of flavour I was hoping for), but the flavours in their meat pie were quite delightful, though I think the pastry could have been more crispy. I think overall, a greater diversity of textures (especially crunch) would have been nice. Still quite yummy, and very recommended
WOW. I fell in love with this French restaurant right off the bat! Small and very elegant room, attentive service and great ambiance. The food is to freakin die for!! Every time I think about this restaurant my heart skips a beat! Order the escargots. Probably one of the best restaurants in Vancouver!
Let me start by saying I REALLY wanted to love St Lawrence. There is quite a hype around this place right now. And we were so disappointed. The service was mediocre. The food was decent (terrine was bland and was begging for seasoning; pork was average and special of the evening was yummy but nothing revolutionary). Honestly, I wouldn't return. So many better places around Vancouver.
Fantastic Dining Experience. We sat at the Chefs Table on Saturday evening & cant wait to go back. The presentation of all the dishes we saw going out & enjoyed was top notch. The chef really takes pride in his plating as well as quality. We started with the ratatouille & mushroom pastry in cream sauce. Had the duck & meat pie as main courses & the maple pie along with lemon tart for dessert. Everything was delicious. The tourtiere pie, mushroom pastry & ratatouille were phenomenal.
