I was extremely dissatisfied with the staff checking us in to the hotel. It completely soured the experience before it began. My MIL and myself were checking in at the same time, and the lady checking us in refused to address me directly. She never once used my name, yet called my MIL by her name multiple times. If I asked a question, the woman addressed my MIL and answered it. We checked in early so our rooms werent ready, which was fine. But this woman upgraded my MIL to a different room that was ready at the time. While saying that if I wanted to come back after the wedding that we were attending that night, then my keys would be ready then. We enjoyed our trip for the wedding, but when we come back to the area again we will not be staying at this hotel due to the awful service.
If you have a car, this hotel locates at a quite convenience location. Up to the hill, or down to the city all within reach of several minutes of drive. Hotel rooms are clean and spacious. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. I find it was really friendly for visitors that the hotel provides a summary of restaurants and service points near by.
We stayed here during the North Shore Girls Soccer Tournament. We booked a few months in advance and got a stellar rate. The room is perfect for us. It has a small stove and fridge in the kitchen along with a bunch of dishes. Our kids slept on the fold out couch in the main room and we slept in the king bed in a bedroom with a door. The room was clean and most importantly, the wifi rocks! Highly recommend this motel.
BLOOD or cigarette Smoke... you choose!!! Terrrible experiences dealing with customer service related to this issue. We found blood smeared on the bathroom light switch in the room. We complained and switched to a different room that was so heavy with smoke (Even though its a non smoking room). Apparently these were the only two rooms available. So we left. The hotel itself refused to refund us even though we were only there for a short time (we didnt even unpack or use the bed). We called customer service and they were only willing to refund us half. Disgusted.
Very basic motel, close to Grouse mountain. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, beds comfy. Very very noisy as its close to busy road and door doesn't close properly. Avoid the De Dutch restaurant attached to motel. Extremely overpriced for what you get. It was cheaper to get breakfast at the airport. I booked this because of price and proximity to Grouse and Stanley Park. Traffic is brutal but it was better than anything else in that vicinity.
