Helpful and friendly staff and the rooms large and comfortable. Could work out how to work the coffee machine but thats more a review of my skills than the hotel. Bathroom had a jacuzzi bath but didnt feel that powerful. Overall I highly recommend staying here if ever in Vancouver.
The location is very near almost everything in downtown Vancouver. There are plenty of restaurants and clubs in the area. I liked the staff, the were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I stayed in room 1512 and the noise from the street or outside the hotel was louder than expected. The complementary breakfast was very nice.
Absolutely convenient location! Close to railway, hop on hop off bus stops, Chinatown, Yale town, short walk from Telus Science Center, Aqua Bus, City Center, Library. The hotel has a shuttle for drop offs. They also have bikes to borrow for free! The free breakfast is a great addition. Rooms are well maintained and staff is v.friendly and helpful.
An older hotel in a fantastic location if you are there for a sporting event or hockey as BC Place and Roger's Arena are both in walking distance. You're right on Robson for all the shopping and there are restaurants everywhere. There's a shuttle service that can take you around the downtown area. The Skytrain isn't too far either. Nice breakfast and the rooms are clean. Also check out the rooftop gym as there are some cool views out on the deck.
I recently stayed at this property. Two days after checking out, the hotel improperly imposed a $250 surcharge on my credit card -- without any notice to me and without any explanation. When I noticed the additional surcharge on my credit card account, I called and was told that it was for smoking drugs in the hotel room. This was as offensive as it was absurd. When I explained I neither smoked nor used drugs (one is left to wonder about their typical clientele), the hotel management did not take my word -- but only stated they would investigate and call me back in 24 hours to let me know if they thought the surcharge was appropriate. When they finally called back, they very apologetic, stated that it was their error, and the surcharge was meant for another customer in another room. They also stated that they would reverse the improper charge imposed on my credit card. Many days later, the charge still has not been reversed. If the hotel can charge my credit card immediately upon checking out, then you would think they could correct their admitted mistake just as quickly.So to sum up my stay, I was charged a $250 surcharge without notice or explanation, to only be accused of drug use and then after admitting their error the hotel has failed to rectify the improper charge. Beyond infuriating!
