When made aware of a pricing discrepancy from an in-store item and the price posted on their website, they agreed to honor the web price and hold the item for me. When I went to the store to pay for the item the following week and arrange for pickup, they had no record of the item being on hold, and furthermore had even had it removed from the website's "Floor Model Deals" section where it was previously listed. I made the salesperson aware of the error, and was told that he would need to speak with the owner. I received a phone call the following day informing me that it was no longer on sale but they could take 10% off, but it changed the price of the item by around $200, and this was still for the floor model (which, in effect, is no longer a new item). The salesperson himself seems fine, but the owner might be a tad whimsical about the pricing of his products. If you see a sale item listed on their website, I would strongly suggest that you get a screenshot or printout before going into the store. Even then, I'm not convinced that the same thing that happened to me wouldn't happen to you.EDIT: The manager of the business did end up getting in touch with me to explain that he was not aware that I had previously held the product at the lower price, and offered to honour it. I had already moved on to a different shop and product by then, so did not take them up on the offer.
I frequently end up buying all my furniture here after looking around and finding the best prices and unique Made In Canada pieces. There are lots of samples on display and more in their catalogues. A family owned business who have been in business for more years I can remember which speaks for itself!
Such a peculiar place. Nice furniture, seems conscientious being Canadian made, with an emphasis on natural materials apparently. Yet I visited three times, twice myself and once with my wife, and got wildly varying levels of service.Lawrence was wonderful, animated, informative. Kevin and a sales lady whose name I didn't catch, weren't quite the same. Started well, if a bit aggressive on Kevin's part, but then turned nonchalant, dismissive, almost a bit of looking down their noses at you...confusing. As I'd been to Brougham Interiors beforehand and got wonderfully helpful service in a store that was definitely beyond our price point, it was curious to have such a quiet, lower priced store, seem to simply lose interest in helping us.Maybe you'll have better luck. Try to find Lawrence if you go.
Purchased a great couch and chair. Loved the customization options. Knowledgeable staff and understanding of our needs.
