I'd like to you assure you that we take customer satisfaction very seriously. We have also learned from this experience and we have put in place a more comprehensive customer follow up strategy to ensure that our clients know when their custom furniture will be delayed or when we are working on solutions to unexpected circumstances. I also feel that it is my responsibility to elaborate on the circumstances of this episode. The sectional was delivered to Vancouver later than expected. Upon delivery to the client's house we discovered that one of the pieces was damaged during transportation and that it could not be repaired in the house. We informed the client that it would take two weeks for the repair. We then had the damaged part of the sectional picked up and brought back to Vancouver. Monday we rush ordered, manufactured, and air shipped from Montreal a new upholstery. By Thursday the repair had been completed. Transportation delayed delivery to the client's house until the following Wednesday. The entire repair process took less than the two weeks we originally quoted. Fantastic comfy sofas, the upgraded fabrics seem a bit expensive but let's see if they are willing negotiate when the time comes
Staff have been terrific and the sofas are amazing, although don't look for a bargain. I have purchased two sofas from Montauk in the past year (one from Toronto and one from Vancouver). In both cases the purchasing experience was exceptional with lots of assistance from the sales staff.We had some trouble with fabric selection (the first two choices were discontinued); however the staff couriered additional samples to us to review and make alternate selections. We also realized one of them sofas (Stanley) was too big for our stairwell, AFTER ORDERING IT! We panicked, but Montauk staff arranged to have the factory split it into smaller pieces and the delivery staff reassembled it at our place. They look great, and despite the fact that they were (frankly) astonishingly expensive, we hope to enjoy them for many years.

Worst retail/customer service everPurchased a Harris Sectional Custom order July 7 2016 from Calgary Montauk. Was advised there was a production delay and the sectional would be delivered between 6-8 weeks. We did not hear further regarding sofa delivery so expected it to arrive in September.I eventually called the store in Calgary where it was purchased and was advised it had been delayed due to delivery, etc.. From the time it was purchased to the actual delivery date was over 14 weeks, nowhere near 6-8 weeks.Unfortunately when the sofa arrived it was damaged. We were told it would be repaired in our home or at the Vancouver store. Repair could not be completed in our home so the sofa was picked up and taken to Vancouver Montauk for repair. Not once did Vancouver call to advise on repair/delivery. Calgary store did, but they were unable to help me as it was Vancouver's responsibility now. I eventually called for an update and was advised by Ivan in Vancouver that my sofa was being repaired and I would have it delivered in 1-2 weeks. When I had heard nothing about delivery I called and was told by Ivan it was repaired but there would be no delivery, and I would have to wait and additional week. We have been given false information the entire time. We have paid 10,000 in full for a sofa that was way past expected delivery date and delivered damaged. I would never buy from Montauk again and will make every effort to get the word out about this company.
